LMS 2.0 in SP Coop has run on my dedicated Linux server for around a month without crashing. Considering LMS in still in beta it is great to see it running so well! Smile However, recently I've been experiencing crashes on the server that I'm having problems tracking down. Reading the FAQ when things get really loopy deleting the DoomConfig.cfg file is in order. Unfortunately, getting rid of this file on the host and the clients has not stopped the server from crashing. I've looked at the checksums and both my server file and game machine file read 0x7dafc4d4 instead of 0x29cdb978 on game00.pk4 . Possible that Linux has a different checksum for game 00.pk4?

A double segment fault isn't helpful information, it is quite a standard error message. Are you creating a server and then trying to join it using doom 3 on the same user? If so, you need to create a new user to run your LMS server, because you can't run two versions of doom 3 on the same user. The information you quoted from the log is not useful, you would need to provide information a little bit further up in the log, what you showed in generic. Take care.

The Linux and Windows versions of LMS should have exactly the same checksum, as both the binaries are in the game pk4.

Probably a simple programming error somewhere, it might be a problem in the executable or in the game library. Hard to do anything about it when there's so little info.

I have been running a windows dedicated server for weeks fixing all crashes, but there are some crashes that happenes in the executable which i cannot do anything about.

The last beta release was some time ago.

Thanks for the replies. It turns out the server is actually having hardware problems. I didn't want to post the entire log in case the tail of it was enough information for you. Wink The server itself is colocated in another state so I'll be traveling to fix it.

Cheers,
