We are trying to have a LAN game. The server can start fine, but the client computer can't join.

Well, it can, but it just get's booted instantly, because it has an error.

The server messages just say Person connected, then person disconnected, straight after.

The client says:
idMoveable 'entity408': cannot load collision model

but entity can be any number. This was on SP mission "Mars Underground", and also the first LMS mission available in the map list.

Another error on the client when joining to a server running the first SP mission (Mars, with the intro) was:
ERROR: Missing 'anim' key on 'entity863'.
Tried swapping the server and client computers around and got the same error, but with a different entity number (entity861).

So we can't use more than one player on this mod at all because the client's keep getting these weird errors. Sad

Just tried the si_skill 2 thing (I read about it in another thread, problems with skill level 3 apparently?) but no difference. Going to try re-installing now...

(That guest was me)

Haha... looks like another easy one guys... we just re-installed... and everything works fine :)

On clients, NPC's are dormant and standing in the crucifix position, but this is normal I assume? (They are normal on the server)

This is so cool Smile

Great you got it working!

Most problems are often installation into wrong directory or having wrong pk4's in base directory (mods in base directory).

NPC's shouldn't be in the crucifix position, it's a known problem, it will hopefully be fixed some time.

I mean on the server computer it plays as normal, like in normal singleplayer mode (you can talk to them, they work on their computers, etc) but on the client computers they are dormant.

Yeah I figured it was a known problem. This is cool.

Monsters on the client machines may be in the t-pose until they are activated but then they should appear just like they do on the server. The problem with not hearing them talk has been fixed for the next release.
