question for dedicaced server

I want to build a dedicaced server in SP coop.
I've configured the maps and all, but I don't know how to configure the weapons that a player has when he respawns.
If somebody could help me, it would be nice.

The weapons that the players are given on the maps is set in the map files and also in mp.def. The only problem is that if you edit mp.def, players will not be able to join the server because they will get a "Data Not In Sync With Server Data". They will get this message even if si_pure is set to 0. What weapons were you looking to give the players and why do you want to give them more weapons?

First, my servers begins with alpha labs 1, in that map players receive only pistols.
I think I could give them a shotgun and an assault rifle, cuz when I play doom 3 solo, I have already those weapons. I thought that zombies marines dropped weapons, but they don't. that's why I would give players more weapons.

When you play Doom3 solo and start the map by typing in "map game/alphalabs1" you will spawn with different weapons than if you started a server with the map alphalabs1. The reason is that the game uses different code to spawn the player in solo mode than it does in multiplayer. There is not an easy way to give the players more weapons on a dedicated server.
